Muhammad Yousuf Shaikh, founder and chairman of Pakistan China Motorcycle Industry Council (pcmic), said in an interview with China economic net that the rapid development of China's motorcycle industry and the investment of Chinese enterprises in Pakistan have promoted the development of Pakistan's motorcycle industry, with the supply of motorcycle parts from Pakistan and China, It is no longer a "dream" for Pakistani enterprises to assemble and manufacture motorcycles themselves.
Sheikh said that China's motorcycle industry has developed very rapidly. He believes that China's investment can help Pakistan design and manufacture its own motorcycles and engines. With the continuous strengthening of China Pakistan Economic and trade cooperation, Pakistan's motorcycle related industry has become a hot investment industry for Chinese motorcycle enterprises. Sheikh admitted that in the past, many Pakistani private enterprises dreamed of assembling and manufacturing motorcycles locally in Pakistan. Later, with the supply of high-quality parts from Pakistan and China, it was no longer a "dream" to assemble and manufacture motorcycles in Pakistan.

Sheikh told China Economic Net: "in 2002, I was the first to bring high-quality and cheap motorcycles made in China to the Pakistani market. I participated in training many motorcycle manufacturers in China to design and manufacture motorcycles with displacement of 70cc and 125cc for the Pakistani market." he said that since then, he has seen Chinese suppliers provide appropriate CKD parts for the Pakistani market, Many Chinese motorcycle import manufacturers have set up motorcycle assembly plants in Pakistan.
Sheikh told China economic net that he has more than 30 years of experience in the motorcycle industry, has been committed to promoting China's Motorcycle Trade and China Pakistan motorcycle economic and trade cooperation, and seeks trade cooperation and investment opportunities between China and Pakistan by participating in exhibitions, conferences and writing articles. He expressed the hope to continue to strengthen the cooperation between China and Pakistan in the motorcycle industry and help the "made by Pakistan iron" in the motorcycle industry to the world.
